Paul Courchaine – Guitar

Guitarist Paul Courchaine began his musical journey at a young age.
In high school, he studied under jazz guitar luminary Rich Falco and founded the (in)famous Massachusetts rock band Craig. Temporarily putting aside a rigorous touring schedule, Paul went on to earn a degree in Jazz Studies at the University of North Texas (alma mater of jazz dignitaries Norah Jones, Lyle Mays, and Lou Marini), returning to Massachusetts to pursue Craig full-time and develop a reputation as a top-shelf studio and session guitarist. He has performed in concerts, on television, the radio, innumerable recordings, and the odd festival with a variety of groups in many different styles. His soulful single-note jazz lines, combined with rock-steady chord work are instantly recognizable across any genre, impressing critics and crowds alike with unique tone and impeccable, impassioned technique. In addition to actively performing, Paul’s teaching credentials include the Auburn, West Boylston, Wachusett, and Holy Name school systems, as well as the highly regarded Clemente School of Music.
